I’m Archer English
I’m an artist, designer, director, and actor, though not necessarily in that order. As such, I work mostly in creating digital art, with particular experience in vector based imaging and poster design. Maybe it’s a by-product of theatrical experience, but I see art as a chance to see the world in a different way, a chance to escape whatever reality we don’t currently want to partake in. Both onstage and off, I always try to put a piece of myself into the art, seeking to share the potential I see in something, be it a character, a story, a poster, or anything in between. Again relating to my theatrical experience, which includes musical theatre, I find particular importance in music when it comes to creating art, on a screen or a stage. I’ll often find a song or songs that I feel fit whatever feeling I’m attempting to communicate with an art piece, and let that influence a portion of what direction I let that particular piece take.
